Love and Delusion
This spring, Zefiro Torna will feature in the Belgian premiere of Tandy, the latest performance of Spanish avant-garde theatre maker and performer Angélica Liddell and her theatre company Atra Bilis. Inspired by the enynomous story from the Winesburg, Ohio novella by Sherwood Anderson, Liddell adapted the text to a play on love and its delusions.

How does man survive in the twilight of dark madness and bright serenity? In Hermit, theatre maker and performer Tom Hannes looks for a philosophical and poetic answer to this question, together with artistic nomads Jurgen De bruyn, Mauro Pawlowski and Timo Van Luijk. Together, they give Jeroen Bosch’s Hermit Saints Triptych a unique auditory and visual interpretation.

Zefiro Torna brings the allegorical triptych The Garden of Delights by Hieronymus Bosch back to life. Pious hymns and courtly lyricism intertwine with bucolic songs and moresque dance melodies. The month after, we will perform Les Tisserands at Côté Jardin, a musical picknick in the gardens of Ghent’s De Bijloke. Can you feel the spring in the air?
