For decades now, Il Fondamento has defended the musical glories of Baroque Germany. With this concert, focused on the generous sound of the baroque hautboy, the orchestra pays homage to two German masters who have played a capital role in Il Fondamento’s existence: Johann Friedrich Fasch (1688-1758) and Georg Philipp Telemann (1681-1767). In 2004 Il Fondamento grabbed a Diapason d’Or and other awards with its CD of Fasch ouverture-suites. In 2014 Paul Dombrecht received the Telemann-Preis from the City of Magdeburg for his passionate divulgation of Telemann’s music. Exceptionally, top oboists Marcel Ponseele and Alfredo Bernardini will join the ensemble!
